How Do You Love Intentionally?
Recently, we worked with James and Angela Mitchell, co-founders of Love Intentionally, a Fort Collins small business Through a number of thoughtfully curated programs, they “blend counseling and coaching to help committed couples design, implement, and sustain a conscious relationship rooted in depth, intimacy, intentionality, and a strategic life plan.”
We caught up with them at a marriage retreat in Red Feather Lakes, Colorado and, two of our team members, AJ and Lo Fountain, participated in the retreat while also collecting testimonials and b-roll for a future Love Intentionally brand video. Their experiences were profound.
Not only did AJ and Lo connect with other couples seeking to love each other, their families, and their communities with more intentionality, but they got to collaborate on how to build a stronger, healthier marriage with guidance from the Mitchells.
Angela and James come from different yet complementary walks of life. Angela, a self-proclaimed “recovering overachiever” has a Masters Degree in Counseling and Career Development from CSU and has spent years filling up her own knowledge reservoir by attending training and earning certificates on relationship coaching, mindfulness, sex and intimacy, healing abuse and trauma, and more.
Because of his childhood and upbringing, James “brought loads of religious sexual shame and guilt into his intimate relationships”. He needed a way to release negative thoughts and feelings that were significantly impacting his life. That’s where his background of coaching and his hardwiring for curiosity came in. James “got to work creating his best life”. Now, he’s coached hundreds of clients across a variety of industries and partners with individuals seeking to build better futures for themselves.
But don’t take our word for it. Here’s what a recent client had to say, “David and I just got back from one of the most amazing weekends. We went on a marriage retreat (aka “Love Camp”) hosted by the incredible Angela and James. This marriage retreat was designed to help good partnerships become great, and to help us “plan the life of our dreams”. And I can say it truly did just that and more. I’m blown away at what was able to come out of this experience.”
